On March 2nd, Victorinox held the premier of the Victorinox Spring/Summer 17 brand films within a curated art-event, giving context to the concept of ‘Digital Artisan’ for our customers. The atmosphere was that of a pop-up boutique film club with Key Media guests and Victorinox digital influencers who are part of the Spring/Summer 17 season.
The event also showcased the UK premier of Todd Selby x Victorinox. Todd introduced the collaboration with a short personal message showcasing his original Swiss Army Knife that he made in Switzerland at the age of 12. This then lead into the UK premier of the four Builders Club product films for Swiss Army Knives, Travel Gear, Watches and Apparel. Along with the brand films on the night, there was a screening of two 15 minute collections of short films curated by The Light Surgeons, and handpicked by the UK team. Chris Allen, “friend of the brand” for Spring/Summer 17 and owner of the Light Surgeons collaborative, introduced these and with the Builders Club, Julien Simshauser and musician Kate Simko partook in a short Q&A around the idea of ‘Digital Artisans’, lead by Cat Botibol of PD3 creative agency.
The night came to an end with a 15 minute live gig from Kate Simko & the London Electronic Orchestra, as Kate’s music was used in the Builders Club product films it was a natural choice for her to perform completing an evening of digital art and film.
