Haus of Victorinox at Wilderness 2017

Haus of Victorinox returned to the award-winning UK festival Wilderness for the fifth year in a row. The Haus was the most unique structure on the festival grounds with its colourful walls that glimmered in the light and lit up in the dark. The inside of the Haus was the real treat, the walls were covered in useful products as a guide to how to be prepared for your everyday adventures. The cosy and peaceful Victorinox garden was fully decked out with day beds and flowers to create a peaceful and comfortable getaway for our guests.

As always, Victorinox had fun workshops for the festival goers in the Haus by the best crafters and explorers. The Haus and workshops were inspired by the upcoming FW17 concept of “Prepare”. Bill Amberg taught guests about the art of crafting with leather. Bill guided them in making their own sunglass cases, an essential for the sunny festival. Kirsti Hadley, Grace Woodward and social influencer Freddie Harrel hosted a talk about the power of reinvention and women in business as part of GRLPWR GANG. The Wood Carving workshop with Felix Immler was very popular as guests used our Swiss Army Knives to create their own rafts, guests of all ages enjoyed crafting with Felix.

Guests created and personalised paper wallets out of Tyvek ® at the Paper Crafting with Kyle Bean workshop. 21st Century Orienteering with Kenton Cool saw festival goers follow Kenton on a challenge around the fields of Wilderness using a map, compass and co-ordinates. This was followed by Campfire Tales with the man himself, where everyone gathered in the Haus of Victorinox garden to listen to his interactive mountaineering tales. Paracording workshops were ongoing in the Haus of Victorinox garden allowing guests to join in at any time of the day to make their very own paracord bracelets from Naimakka paracords. Stay tuned for paracording video launching soon!

This year saw the first ever Victorinox Pop – Up Shop in the Haus where customers were able to buy Victorinox products from a carefully curated range of festival essentials such as; newly released Altmont backpacks and a variety of the I.N.O.X watches.
